About me

Hello, I'm Marion

I'm an HCPC registered music therapist and painter based in Fife. Forth Sound and Colour brings together the two things I care most about: music and colour, and the space they give us to rest and reflect.

I've worked as a music therapist since 2011, including more than ten years in NHS child and adolescent mental health services, as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting young people with autism, mental health difficulties and learning needs. Alongside this, I've worked in schools and community settings, and as an associate musician with Drake Music Scotland, bringing creative music-making to children, adults and people living with dementia. I also supervise music therapy students as a Practice Educator for Queen Margaret University.

I'm now developing online music and imagery sessions for adults, drawing on my training in Supportive Music and Imagery. My approach is warm, flexible and led by the person in front of me.

Music is my passion as well as my career. I play oboe with orchestras around Scotland, and I love being outdoors, often in a canoe. The sea and light around Fife find their way into my paintings.
